Crediwise app
CrediWise has an Android app. The official site shows a "Get our app now" section with a QR code and links to the Google Play listing (package za.crediwise). We did not find an iOS version mentioned on the site.
You do not need the app to use the service. The website works in a mobile browser for applying, logging in with your phone number and OTP, and repaying your loan.
Install the app only from the link on crediwise.co.za or directly from Google Play, and never share your ID number, banking details or one-time PINs with anyone claiming to represent the company.
Frequently asked questions
Is CrediWise a registered credit provider?
Yes. The site states that CrediWise Technology (Pty) Ltd is registered with the National Credit Regulator under NCRCP22496 and lists its company registration number as 2025/543233/07.
What do I need to apply?
A valid South African ID, your latest 3 months of bank statements and a valid cell phone number. The Terms require you to be at least 18 years old.
How long does approval take?
The Terms say you receive the outcome within 15 minutes of submitting. During business hours, processing takes from 15 minutes to 2 hours, and bank transfers can be delayed on weekends and outside banking hours.
How much can I borrow?
Amounts start from R500. The FAQ says the limit is R8,000 but only for repeat customers, so a first loan is usually smaller. The exact amount and fees are shown in your quotation.
How do I repay my loan?
Repayment is normally collected by DebiCheck debit order on the due date. You can also pay manually in your personal account, for example by Capitec Pay, Ozow or at a Pay@ store.
What if I pay late?
A late fee applies. If you cannot pay, call +27 71 539 4220 on weekdays from 8 AM to 5 PM to look for a payment solution.
