Creditbar app

The CreditBar home page carries a banner saying the CreditBar app is available, to apply, track and repay from your phone. However, we did not find a Google Play or App Store link on the official site, and a web search did not return a store listing, so we cannot confirm where to download it. If you want to use an app, only install it from a link shown on creditbar.co.za.

You do not need an app. The site states that it is fully mobile-friendly, so you can apply, sign and repay from any smartphone, tablet or computer browser.

As with any financial service, never share your ID number, bank login or one-time PINs outside the official application flow.

Frequently asked questions

Is CreditBar a registered credit provider?

The site states that CreditBar (Pty) Ltd (registration 2026/213837/07) is registered with the National Credit Regulator under the number CP23238. You can verify the registration on the NCR website.

How much can I borrow and for how long?

The FAQ says the maximum is R5,000 with terms from 7 to 61 days. The minimum amount on the application slider is R500.

How long does approval take?

According to the site, most applications are reviewed within minutes during business hours, and funds usually reach your bank account within 15 minutes of approval.

What documents do I need?

A valid South African ID, bank statements for the last 3 months, an active phone number and a bank account for the payout. You must be at least 18.

Can I get a loan with bad credit?

Each application is assessed individually. The site says a lower credit score does not automatically disqualify you.

What happens if I miss a payment?

Contact CreditBar as soon as possible on +27213010526. Late payments may incur additional fees and affect your credit score, and the site says the team will look for a repayment solution with you.
