What Binixo is
Binixo is an online loan comparison service for South Africa. It is not a bank, not a lender and not a financial adviser, and it does not issue loans or make credit decisions. You fill in one short form, and the platform shows offers from independent lending partners that it says are registered with the National Credit Regulator (NCR). The service is free for users. The site is operated by INFINSA LTD, a company registered in Cyprus (registration number 60165589P).
Conditions at a glance
| Item | Details |
|---|---|
| Amount on the calculator | R1,000 to R50,000 |
| Repayment period (Loan Conditions) | 91 to 120 days; elsewhere the site says up to 6 months |
| Annual interest rate | 0% to 36%; representative APR 36%. The lender sets the final rate |
| Cost to the user | Free; no charge for comparing, submitting a request or being connected |
| Eligibility check | Generally a soft inquiry; the chosen lender may run a hard inquiry |
The site notes that a first loan for new users may be offered at 0% interest by some partners, subject to approval and the lender's terms. Loan approval, amount, fees and repayment terms are decided only by the lender you choose.
Who can apply
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You are a resident of South Africa and have legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
- Lenders in the network will usually ask for a valid South African ID, proof of income and a bank account, but each lender sets its own requirements.
How to apply
- Choose the amount on the calculator and complete the form; the site says this takes about 2 minutes.
- Binixo compares offers from partner lenders based on your profile.
- Choose the offer you prefer and finish the application with that lender, who will contact you directly.
Binixo does not receive repayments. Your lender will confirm and agree the repayment schedule with you by email, phone or post.
What a loan can cost
Under the National Credit Act, the total cost of a loan is made up of interest, an initiation fee and a monthly service fee. Binixo's own representative example is R3,000 over 3 months with R1,000 monthly repayments, total repayable R3,000, at 0% interest. This is an illustration of a promotional offer only; most loans cost more, so check the total repayable amount in your lender's quote.
Advantages and drawbacks
- One application instead of several.
- Free for users, with no obligation to accept an offer.
- Offers come from lenders stated to be NCR-registered.
- Guides on credit reports, debt review and the National Credit Act.
- Binixo does not decide on your loan, so approval is not guaranteed.
- Your details are passed to partner lenders.
- Payout speed depends entirely on the lender.
- Terms and rates shown on the site are illustrative and may differ from your offer.
Before you accept an offer
Read the credit agreement, compare the total amount repayable, and borrow only what you can repay on time. If you already struggle with debt, consider a registered debt counsellor. The NCR can be reached on 0860 627 627.
Frequently asked questions
Is Binixo a lender?
No. Binixo is a free comparison platform. It does not issue loans, make credit decisions or set interest rates; every offer comes directly from the lender.
Does Binixo cost anything?
No. Comparing offers, submitting a request and being connected with lending partners is free for users.
Will comparing offers affect my credit score?
Checking your eligibility is generally a soft inquiry and typically does not affect your credit score. If you formally apply with a lender, that lender may run a hard inquiry.
How quickly can I get the money?
Comparing offers takes a few minutes. How quickly funds are paid out is decided by the lender you choose, not by Binixo.
Who can use Binixo?
According to the Terms, you must be at least 18, a resident of South Africa and able to enter into a binding agreement.
Is my personal information safe?
The site says it uses industry-standard security measures and shares your data only with lenders and partners as described in its Privacy Policy. Review that policy before you submit a request.
